What are Conservative Righteousness or ConRight

And Conservative Contemptiuosness abbreviated as CC?

These are the Conservative twists on “Political Correctness.”

Early in the 1990s the term, “political correctness”, was used by conservatives to oppose what they perceived as the rise of the Left’s desire to eliminate exclusion of various identity groups based on language usage.
According to Sapir-Whorf, or the Whorfian, hypothesis, “our perception of reality is determined by our thought processes, which are influenced by the language we use”. This is a way that language can mould our reality and indoctrinate us to think about and respond to that reality. The words we use can also reveal and promote our biases.
Those who most strongly opposed the so-called “political correctness” view it as unnecessarily censorship and a restriction of freedom of speech. They believe that these cultural language guidelines lead to self-censorship and a curtailment on behaviour. They also feel that political correctness perceives offensive language where they believe none exists.
Others believe that being alerted to and aware of the use and meaning of certain labels can help to to curb hate speech and minimize exclusionary speech practices.
In general the debate concerning political correctness seems to revolve around language, names, and whose definitions of them will ultimately be accepted.

Now, in 2020, the terms “Conservative Contemptuousness” (C.C.) or “Conservative Righteousness” (ConRight) are being used to describe the attitude and behaviour deployed by far right Conservative’s to divert responsibility for any perceived bad behaviour, wrong doing or hypocrisy. The terms can be used as an adjectives or nouns, though the variety of uses is expanding. —

CC or ConRight contains a collection of fallacious excuses for one’s egregious behaviour, often around the notion that “someone else did the bad behaviour first so it cancels out my own bad behaviour“,
Diverting responsibility from own’s own actions by changing the focus to someone else’s actions.
A tit-for-tat argument claiming immunity because one’s rival also does the alleged bad behaviour.
Over-simplifying an argument to make it easier to refute while ignoring the complexities.
…add a list of commonly used fallacies here, but word them in a way the common man would understand.

The list goes on and can be categorized by a number of Logical Fallacies.

Because the CC or ConRight is often identified by those people who have studied and understand Logical Fallacies, the terms have an implication of ignorance toward those being accused of using CC/ConRight; Especially since the user seldom realizes that they are committing a fallacious act.

The term, “ConRight”, also includes the implication of a conman or sleazy salesman, with reference to President Donald Trump’s skill as a professional salesman (real estate) and his use of CC and ConRight arguments to easily sell his political ideas to a certain segment of the population.

Because many people are unaware of, or not educated about, Logical Fallacies, another intention of using the terms CC and ConRight is (Like the term Political Correctness) to, “Dumb down”, and lump together those terms.

If one hears a loyal follower of Mr. Trump say they support him because, “He says it like it is,” the critiquing come back would be,
“Another CC” (parroting a phrase and not thinking for one’s self) or
“ConRight” again (Implying another fallacy was used that the user was not aware of).

Because ultimately what makes us alike… will fill a universe!

-Balanced Budget
-Cut waste
-Lower Taxes
-Safe Food
-Safe water
-Safe Air
-Treated Farley
-Help when we need it

We all want the same things. The difference is how we feel we should go about getting it.

Just acknowledge what we have in common.
-We live in the United States of America
-We live in a republic of states
-We grew up with happiness, heartache and dreams
-We have friends and we have confrontations
-We have idols that win our hearts and others who let us down
-We all know of the American Dream and strive for our own interpretation of it in our own way
-We all see the light of the same sun and stand on the same magnificent Earth

-We all marvel at the same Milkyway in the night sky

A wise man once said,
“There is not a liberal America and a conservative America — there is the United States of America. There is not a black America and a white America and Latino America and Asian America — there’s the United States of America.

The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into… Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too: We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States, and, yes, we’ve got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and there are patriots who supported the war…

…It’s the hope of slaves sitting around a fire singing freedom songs. The hope of immigrants setting out for distant shores. The hope of a young naval lieutenant bravely patrolling the Mekong Delta. The hope of a mill worker’s son who dares to defy the odds. The hope of a skinny kid with a funny name who believes that America has a place for him too. Hope! Hope in the face of difficulty! Hope in the face of uncertainty! The audacity of hope! In the end, that is God’s greatest gift to us, the bedrock of this nation. A belief in things not seen. A belief that there are better days ahead.”

-In the big picture our differences and problems are very small.

– Make America Go It Alone –

The U.S. is no longer a world leader. Every world leadership position the five previous Presidents secured to give the U.S. enormous peaceful negotiating power Trump gave away. The G8, Paris Accord, Nuclear Treaty, W.H.O. and threatening the United Nations… they all depend on leaders being able to work with each other… but that was too hard for Trump, and like everything else that is too hard for him he gave up, blamed everyone else and walked away.

Now the world looks to Russia and China for leadership… Trump handed them the leader roles on a silver plater.

We no longer can use our money or allied connections to negotiate peacefully. All the U.S. has left is the threat of war.

Trump could not use money anyway because he gave billions of our tax dollars to his millionaire cronies, drove the deficit beyond staggering limits and has left the U.S. with a fragile dollar.

Why, because Trump thinks he and the U.S. are better than anyone else and the way to make America Great is to Go It Alone. And we are now alone, with him. His Go-it-alone policy has divided the U.S. from the rest of the world, divided the states from the nation and divided the people against each other.

Everyday he continues to make millions of dollars, not even running his own companies, that he will cash in after his presidential reality show ends. Coal miners still won’t have new jobs and Americans will not have earned any more than before he was in office.

People will continue to love him for his bad behaviour because it legitimizes their own. They will continue to listen to him because he is a professional actor and entertains them, and they will buy his bull because he is a professional salesman who can sell a worthless Make America Great insurance policy to a nation that was already great.

Most of all, he will continue to stick his nose in the air and close the door on our neighbours who are literally running from their homes begging for help from us, while ordering the deaths of thousands overseas and overlooking the deaths of thousands at home; all while he laughs on the way to withdrawal billions from his Chinese bank.

* Then, in November, we shall take a mighty sword made of paper, place a small dot upon it, and the great salesman will no longer be my employee. Though his cries of separation from this attachment will be many, we will know we will both be better for it.

Tools for war against COVID-19

For five heroic months the staff (on the front lines) of, my friend, Maggie’s living facility have fought off COVID-19. In fear for their own, and their families, health and lives they cleaned and sanitized excrement, vomit, sneezes, uneaten food, beds, cloths… Somehow kept masks on disoriented, scared, angry and uncomfortable memory lost residents.

They reassured families and friends who were banned from seeing the people they love and care for. They went home, washed their cloths and showered daily before tending to their own families, always wondering if today was the day they may have been in contact with the dreaded disease.

Today was the day! COVID-19 has entered the facility.

Maggie has tested negative and has been moved to a different floor in the same building. But the fear is now reality. They had been successfully fighting the war, now they have to heal and protect the casualties.

They are brave, as brave as any solder in my heart. “I don’t want to work in a place like that”, I think to myself. “Should I offer help, volunteer, do something…?” I, too, am afraid for me, my family, my friend and you.

But, I will not allow fear to consume me.

What I can do is write on these pages, reminding the people who care about others enough to keep reading these thoughts even though they may be hard for them to hear, that COVID-19 is real and that the suffering of others is real.

  • We can literally and immediately
  • keep others from suffering
  • by enduring the inconvenience of
  • a little cloth mask
  • and some soap and water.
